The company

We build it.
We operate it.

DSCO is a technology company for digital health and research. We develop one proprietary foundation, build products on top of it, and run those products as businesses.

01The model

One foundation.
Operated products.

Most software companies sell tools and stop at the license. We go further: the DSCO Health Engine powers products we own and operate end to end — RUO Pro, the operating system for research-use-only brands, and Polymer, private wholesale supply for medical and research partners.

Operating what we build keeps the incentives honest. Every platform decision is tested against a real business running on it, and every product improvement flows back into the foundation.

02Founder

William Kasel

William’s first company was a software consultancy, and its first clients were Genentech and Biogen Idec. In the two decades since, he has bootstrapped six companies to millions in annual revenue: among them taste.com, a corporate catering marketplace that fed Twitch, Twilio, Pinterest and dozens of others, and MyPad, the largest third-party Facebook client for iPad, with more than a hundred million downloads. Peek, his creator platform, was acquired. Along the way he was a principal front-end engineer at Autodesk, an alumnus of 500 Startups, and most recently co-founder and CTO of Loop Health.

He also runs OpenWill, at williamkasel.co: his own genome, bloodwork and protocols published openly — 178 interpreted genetic variants, 160 biomarkers tracked over time, and every compound and dose with its genetic reasoning, under physician supervision. The open-source health agents that analyze that data live on his GitHub.

Health was the first client, and it is the destination. DSCO applies that career as a company: one well-engineered foundation, operated by the people who built it, evidence before claims, and privacy treated as a design constraint rather than a policy page.
